These are natures actives and why we work with the oils

• cafestrol: this compound inhibits melanin production evening skin tone, as well as stimulating ceramide production - found in green coffee bean oil
• silymarin: with photo protective and melanin regulating abilities, this power use active also regulates sebum oxidation and controls acne - found in milk thistle seed oil
• xanthones: found in abundance in mangosteen seed oil, these super antioxidants stop uncontrolled cell division and are anti-carcinogenic.
• tocochromanols: unique forms of natural occurring vitamin E that don’t rinse away, but become part of your own cell membranes prevent your skin's oil from becoming rancid, yes that is a thing. They are also photo protective and stop an enemy press that breaks down our collagen - found in apple and fig seed oils
• sandalwood (scented version only): I am using a sustainably harvested, royal sandalwood organic essential oil. Sandalwood oil reduces the appearance of skin imperfections. It contains α-santalol and β-santalol, compounds that suppress inflammatory cells responsible for eczema flares, barrier disruption, redness, and inflammatory acne. It’s also has antimicrobial activity against staph, candida, and acne bacterium. Also protects against breakdown of elastin and glycation of collagen. Protects skin longevity more than stimulating it. Prevents against TEWL trans epidermal water loss. 
• vetiver (scented version only): I am using organically crafted and wild harvested vetiver that grows wild in the rain forests of India. Vetiver due to its healing nature is a very regenerative essential oil for the skin. It inhibit inflammatory pathways and blocks an enzyme responsible for inflammation. It helps maintain moisture in the skin by offering barrier repair support. Just like carrier oils, essential oils are almost all high in antioxidants as well. Vetiver can also help will muscle discomfort, so it will be an excellent facial massage oil at the end of a long day. 

• In the AM and PM, after you’ve applied all your serums, drop a single droplet of oil on your ring finger, lightly rubbing both ring fingers together.
• Apply to the skin surrounding your eye socket.
• There’s no need to apply directly to the eyelid since blinking will naturally do the job for you.

Why I added mangosteen - It easily penetrates through the top layers of the epidermis and enters the dermis, allowing for quick absorption. It inhibits elastase and collagenase, which are two enzymes that breakdown collagen and elastin, which is also referred to as fibroblast cells. These cells are what gives skin structure and bounce. Both the silymarin in the milk thistle and the xanthones in the mangosteen oil, work together to stop elastin enemy activity as well as reducing oxidized stress, which also leads to elastin damage and glycation formation.
